If you have cracked, chipped, misshapen, or discolored teeth or small gaps in your smile, we may have a great solution for you. At Abidin & Cao, DDS, we offer custom dental bonding to restore your smile's appearance, health, and functionality. To schedule your consultation or to ask us any questions about bonding, please call our office!
What Is Bonding?
Dental bonding is made from the same composite resin as tooth-colored fillings. It can be used to fix minor cosmetic concerns. For example, if you bite into something hard and chip your tooth, we can use bonding to fix it so it looks just like new. The great thing about the material we use is that we can precisely match the color of the bonding to your tooth color, so most people won't even notice it's there!
The Bonding Process
To begin the procedure, we'll lightly etch the surface of your tooth and apply a bonding liquid. When the liquid is set, we'll apply the resin and sculpt it into the desired shape. Once we're done with shaping the resin, we'll trim the excess, smooth and polish the bonding, and cure it with a high intensity blue light.
Benefits of Bonding
Bonding offers many benefits for patients, such as:
- Less extensive than other options
- One of the most budget-friendly cosmetic treatments
- Retains natural structure of tooth
- Can usually be completed in one appointment
Cost of Bonding
The cost of bonding varies depending on your unique situation and needs. When you visit our office for a consultation, we'll be able to provide you with a more accurate cost estimate. We'll also go over our wide range of financial options to help you fit a restored smile into your budget.
